300x170mm JCW Fire and Acoustic Downlighter Cover
300x170mm Fire and Acoustic Downlighter Cover is designed to help maintain the fire resistance and acoustic integrity of ceilings. It is ventilated to reduce heat build up.
- Practical: The downlighter covers allow light fittings to operate without overheating.
- Resistant: the fire rating integrity of the ceiling (30-60 minutes of fire rating) is maintained.
- Flatten the cover.
- Fold the cover into quarters by folding it in half once, and then folding it in half again.
- Pass the folded cover through the aperture.
- Then fit the downlighter cover as per the downlighter manufacturers instructions - cables may be pushed through the vent slots in the cover.
- Check and ensure that there is a minimum of 20mm clearance between the downlighter and any insulation or acoustic filling in the void.
- Cut any excess.
- Please note that remote gearboxes and transformers must be situated outside of the downlighter cover.
JCW Acoustic Downlighter Covers and Cages pass British Standards tests on all types of ceilings, meeting Document B and E (acoustic equirements) of UK Buildings Regulations.
