150x150mm JCW Fire and Acoustic Downlighter Cover
Ceiling cutout size: 50mm - 75mm
150x150mm Fire and Acoustic Downlighter Cover is designed to help maintain the fire resistance and acoustic integrity of ceilings. It is ventilated to reduce heat build up.
- Practical: The downlighter covers allow light fittings to operate without overheating.
- Resistant: the fire rating integrity of the ceiling (30-60 minutes of fire rating) is maintained.
- Grasp legs firmly and roll cover into a tight cylinder.
- Ensure wiring loom is through slot before installation.
- Keeping a tight grip on the legs, feed the cover through the cutout made for the downlighter.
- Ensure cover has sprung back into its original cone shape.
- Grasp legs and pull down until L section clears the underside of the ceiling.
- Move legs out until vertical part of L section is flush with the side of the cutout.
- Release legs so that they grip the underside of the tile.
- Remove the excess of both legs.
- Cut at point A Once cover is in place, downlighter can be fitted as normal.
- Please note that remote gearboxes and transformers must be situated outside of the downlighter cover.
JCW Acoustic Downlighter Covers and Cages pass British Standards tests on all types of ceilings, meeting Document B and E (acoustic requirements) of UK Buildings Regulations.
