12mm KarmaFloor Soundlay Plus Acoustic Overlay

12mm KarmaFloor Soundlay Plus Acoustic Overlay is a specially designed floor noise barrier with two composite layers - CMS WB7.5 acoustic barrier and Class 0 6mm CMS acoustic foam, offering not only superb acoustic performance but also uniform density throughout the entire surface of the material. It has a high level of fire protection giving the product an advantage over chipfoam products. Commonly used in timber floor application, but can also be used in concrete floor acoustic insulation, offering both airborne and impact sound reduction.

Soundlay Plus Floor Acoustic Overlay is for improving acoustic performance of timber floating and concrete floors and is suitable for renovation, retrofit and new build projects and can be applied to offices, hotels and residential units.

Soundlay Plus is very easy to install and should be laid on the floor tightly together in a staggered pattern. The sheets can be laid loose or bonded to the floor. Ensure that the surface is clean, dry, grease free and that the flooring is secured before bonding. CMS Bond 100 Adhesive should be used. The sheets can be pushed up to the skirting board or wall; ensure a tight fit to prevent flanking of airborne noise.

Where a wooden laminated floor finish or vinyl covering is being used , it is recommended that a layer of 12mm T+G plywood or MDF is bonded to the SoundLay Soundproofing Underlayment first.
