STEICOzell is a loose-fill insulation made from natural wood fibres. It is blown into closed compartments (like between rafters or floor joists) or onto open loft floors using a specialised blowing machine. It provides a seamless, joint-free insulation layer that adapts perfectly to any shape. While boards are great for flat, open loft floors, this STEICOzell air-injected insulation is the solution for those hard-to-reach nooks and crannies.

CHARCTERISTICS

• When professionally installed into compartments, the wood fibres interlock with each other. This creates a friction-fit that prevents the insulation from settling or sagging over time, even in vertical wall cavities.
• Because it is blown in under pressure, it finds every small gap and void around pipes, cables, or irregular timber. This eliminates the thermal bridging often found with poorly cut batts or boards.
• Like all Steico products, it has excellent heat storage capacity. This is particularly effective in roof spaces for preventing summer overheating, which is a common issue in many British loft conversions.
• It is vapour-permeable, allowing the building to breathe. It also has the same carbon-sequestering benefits as the solid wood-fibre boards.
• There are no off-cuts or scraps. You only use exactly the amount of material required to fill the volume of the space.

APPLICATION

• Roof Renovation: Filling the voids between rafters when insulating from either the inside or outside.
• Timber Frame Walls: Injecting into wall cavities for a completely filled, airtight insulation layer.
• Floor Joists: Filling the space between floor joists to improve both thermal performance and acoustic insulation.
• Loft "Top-up": Can be blown as an open-fill layer onto a loft floor for rapid insulation of large attic spaces.
