Knauf UP 210 Base Coat is a lime‑cement base coat render designed for interior and exterior use on mineral substrates. Suitable for medium‑heavy masonry with an apparent density above 800 kg/m³, it provides a stable, sponge‑finished undercoat for a wide range of mineral and ready‑mixed finishing plasters. UP 210 is also suitable as a base coat for tiles in bathrooms, kitchens and other damp‑room applications. Knauf UP 210 offers reliable mechanical performance and excellent workability. Its balanced formulation allows for sponge‑finishing, scraped finishes, and subsequent decorative coats, making it a versatile choice for both new‑build and refurbishment projects.

UP 210 can be applied as a traditional base coat, a substrate for scraped‑finish plaster, or as a preparatory layer beneath tiles and thin‑coat renders. It forms part of Knauf’s integrated render system and is compatible with Knauf primers, finishing plasters and reinforcing meshes.

Consumption:

• 10mm coat thickness: 14.5 kg/m2
• 15mm coat thickness: 21.7 kg/m2

Note: The consumption values were determined under laboratory conditions. Additional consumption resulting from conditions in practice must be taken into account. The material consumption depends on the roughness, evenness and absorption properties of the substrate as well as the machinery used.
