25mm Hardie Plank Aluminium Starter Profile with Ventilation ensures the proper start of the installation of Hardie Plank composite siding. It is designed to provide the correct starting angle for the first cladding siding. This 25mm starter profile is manufactured to suit 25mm battens. There should be an air inlet and air outlet gap at the base and at the roofline, above doors and windows. Using a perforated profile to cover the gap helps to prevent pests entering through it.

CHARACTERISTICS

  • Acts as both a starter strip and ventilation profile for horizontal cladding
  • Helps achieve the recommended 20mm cavity behind cladding for airflow and drainage
